Description

Advanced technology

The internal architecture of the Airthings Home radon detector comes from advanced technology normally reserved for commercial-type detectors. Particular attention has been paid to the quality and protection of the internal components, allowing the use of algorithms for signal analysis that are more sophisticated. The Airthings Home radon monitor quickly adapts to its environment and eliminates inaccuracies related to external factors, allowing it to obtain the best accuracy in its niche.

The Airthings Home radon gas detector is guaranteed for one year and in normal home use, it requires no annual calibrations throughout its useful life, estimated at over 10 years. If the monitor has measured continuously high radon levels (hundreds of pCi/L) over several years it is not considered normal use.

Accuracy/Precision

The longer the measurement is performed, the more accurate it will be. The accuracy/precision at 5.4 pCi/L is within 10% at one week and 5% at 2 months. Measurements should be conducted for at least one week.

This is my top pick as far as radon monitors are concerned. It’s so simple to use that you will be able to borrow it to family members. I’ve had these Airthings Home radon monitors next to our professional monitors that cost thousands of dollars and they are usually within a few tenths of a picocurie. For about the same cost as hiring a professional to test your radon levels, you can own your own monitor. This allows you to do both short and long-term radon tests in your home.

Please feel free to give us a call if you have questions about the Airthings Home radon monitor.
